This comment is in response to the lecture of Oct. 7th…
The part of the lecture I liked the best came from the Q & A segment (approx. 1:09), when Fr. Victor said:
“Temptations have come into the World. God allows for tempations………….. It’s not God’s will for us to be tempted (and this is where we have to be really careful); God does not create Evil; God does not initiate Evil, but He allows Evil to come to pass so that a greater good can be reached. And the ultimate fulfillment of that we see in the Cross of Christ; The greatest Evil that was done, (meaning the death of God himself), was allowed so that the Resurrection can come to pass, so that we can be Saved.”
A couple of minutes later he had some good things to say about our current educational system in the USA where it is encouraged to question Tradition.
