Many of you may have watched the first in a four part lecture series by His Grace, Bishop Tikhon on the Prophet Jonah. Despite an initial rocky start, the web-cast seemed to have gone well with over 130 viewers. Bishop Tikhon took questions from both the audience present for the lecture, as well as questions from those watching on the internet via the chat box feature. This blog will allow for additional questions, comments, and feedback about the topic as well as the web-cast itself. This was the first time of doing something like this, so we are working out kinks, evaluating it’s effectiveness, and assessing how we can improve the quality. Thank you to all who participated and gave wonderful feedback!

This is a GREAT idea! I will be sure to share it on my blog.
Your Grace,
Thank you for your time that you gave us @ Holy Apostles. When I asked you the question of miracles and their relationship as an apologetic to an unbelieving world, you were quite patient in trying to explain an Orthodox apologetic. On the way home it hit me. The parable of the rich man, and Lazarus. The rich man wanted Abraham to send someone to tell his brothers about the place of torment in which he found himself. Abraham told him that they have the Law & the Prophets. The rich man retorted that they would believe if one came back from the dead. Abraham then said that if they don’t believe the Law & Prophets, neither would they believe if someone came back from the dead.
